Black Orchard Elixir

Some drinks do not ask for sunlight. They belong to dusk — where black fruit, winter herbs, and silence gather at the rim of the glass. Black Orchard Elixir is less about sweetness and more about mood: dark cherry, pomegranate, and crushed berries layered into something that feels as though it belongs beside candlelight, old pages, and an evening too quiet to waste on ordinary things. A simple drink, perhaps — yet one that wears its shadows well.

Ingredients

·         1 cup black cherry juice

·         1/2 cup pomegranate juice

·         a few crushed blackberries

·         splash of sparkling water

·         1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey

·         Ice

·         rosemary sprig or dark cherries for garnish

This flavor profile works beautifully because black cherry and pomegranate naturally create that deep almost-vampiric tone many gothic drinks aim for.

Method

·         Muddle the blackberries first

·         Add cherry juice and pomegranate juice

·         Stir in maple syrup

·         Add ice

·         Finish with sparkling water

·         Garnish with rosemary or a dark cherry

A rosemary sprig makes it look almost like something gathered from an old garden wall.
