A Darkling Christmas

Shadows, Lights, and Ho-Ho-Ho

Snow drifts whisper through the night,

Candles flicker, shadows bite.

Hollow carols, moonlight’s gleam,

Haunted laughter threads the dream.

Shops aglow with crimson cheer,

Yet some hearts wait, and some buy year.

Midnight tolls, a raven cries,

Frosted panes reflect cold eyes.

Gifts are wrapped in crimson lace,

Yet silence fills the empty space.

Family gathers, candles sway,

Dark joy dancing in the gray.
